Spectacular 16th floor renovated Ilikai condo.  A Beautifully Remodeled Unit: This beautiful, spacious condo has just been completely renovated with the highest quality materials and furnishings. It combines a unique blend of traditional Hawaiian motifs with modern interior features. It also includes new furniture, new King bed, and an upgraded full kitchen.  The owner of this unit has gone beyond the norm, adding more cabinets and closet space making this unit very comfortable. You will enjoy this luxury environment.

Other amenities include new quiet split-system air conditioner and free high-speed internet, cable T.V., and local and US mainland phone service.

This unit is up on the 16th floor away from ground noise and in the “38 stack.” It gets morning sun and afternoon shade, so the temperature stays moderate and you can enjoy the open sliding glass doors and lanai all day. (Unlike the other side of the building, which gets the hot afternoon sun.)

Ocean Views:  Gaze out at the Duke Kahanamoku lagoon, the stunning blue ocean and watch the surfers riding the waves at the premier Ala Moana surfing area, relaxing in your spacious condo or sitting on your shaded lanai (balcony).

An Extraordinary Location: “Where Waikiki Begins”

The Ilikai serves as a convenient base for vacationing singles, friends, couples, families and business people. You can’t beat the location. It is just steps to the Duke Kahanamoku lagoon and the white sands of Waikiki beach; it is one of the only ocean front properties on the ocean side of the main road in Waikiki. The Ilikai is located between the 5 star Hilton Hawaiian Village and the wonderful Ala Moana Beach Park.

Right next door, the Hilton Hawaiian Village has the same beach and ocean front, but similar units, most without kitchens, rent for $400 to $800 per night. Our unit is much more reasonably priced and the use of the kitchen can save you additional expense if you decide to eat some meals on your ocean view lanai instead of in a restaurant. We love eating fresh tropical fruits on the lanai in the warm morning sun.

Restaurants: Many wonderful restaurants and shops are right at the Ilikai and in the hotel area. There are national chains, such as Starbucks, Outback Steak House, the Chart House and Red Lobster and many unique local restaurants offering every type of dining opportunity, including some right on the beach nearby. The Ilikai has its own award winning restaurant, Sarentos, on the 25th floor with breath taking panoramic views.

Shopping and Entertainment: It is just a few minutes walk or drive to all of the other fabulous shopping and entertainment areas of Waikiki, such as Lewers Street with Coach and other high-end shops, jewelry shops and art galleries. The nearby International Market Place has unique gifts from all over the Pacific rim. Other nearby destinations include Ala Moana Beach Park, the huge Ala Moana multilevel open-air shopping center, the Hawaii Convention Center and other attractions and entertainment.

A Bountiful Choice of Activities: There is a wonderland of outdoor activities right outside your door. Of course you can just relax or indulge in beach walking, wading and swimming in the beautiful, recently renovated lagoon (with fresh sea water filtered several times per day) and the ocean. Snorkeling, surfing, kayaking, paddle boats, biking, hiking and more are all right close by. Or try the nearby Ala Wai golf course, experience an outdoor concert at the Waikiki shell, visit the aquarium or take in one of the many other attractions. Waikiki is truly the playground of the Pacific. Here are some of the popular activities in the greater Waikiki and Honolulu areas:

Boating | Running track/path | Fishing | Sailing | Golfing | Scuba diving | Helicopter/airplane sightseeing | Snorkeling | Hiking/biking trails  | Surfing/boogie boarding | Horse riding | Swimming | Kayaking  | Tennis | Mountain biking | Volleyball | Outrigger canoes  | Water skiing | Parasailing | Windsurfing

Remember the intro to the old Hawaii Five 0?  The Camera zooms in to the Ilikai Waikiki with Steve McGarrett standing on the Penthouse of the Ilikai?

The Ilikai was prominently featured on the original TV series, Hawaii Five-O. The opening sequence included a zoom in to focus on the main character, Steve Mc Garrett, standing on the balcony of the Ilikai penthouse. Many scenes were shot at the Ilikai and one of the main characters, Chin Ho, was named after the builder of the Ilikai. The new version of the series also features the Ilikai in the opening (although a much shorter sequence) and the Ilikai can be seen in many episodes.

Today, you might see the white trucks with the film crew for the new Hawaii 5-O from your balcony as they like to film in our neighborhood!
